Frequently Asked Questions
About Memberships at Blue Bell Country Club
Q. Do I need to know a member or have a membership committee sponsor me for membership? A. No, all you need to do to join is meet and sign up with the club's Membership Director. Sponsors and membership committees are generally required at member-owned "equity" private clubs. Blue Bell Country Club is a privately-owned business enterprise.
Q. When do I pay the annual dues? A. Annual dues and other charges are paid at the time you join the club. After your first season, annual dues, fees and charges are automatically billed in February and payable in full by March 31 for each upcoming season, which begins April 1.
Q. How does the Monthly Food & Beverage Minimum work? A. The monthly food and beverage minimum ($85 for golf members, $55 for social members) is an obligation to spend the required amount each month in food and beverage purchases at the club. If you do not meet the minimum in any given month, you are billed for the difference between your actual spending and your obligation. For example, if your monthly minimum obligation is $55 and in June you only spend $35, then you are billed an "Unused Minimum Charge" of $20. Please note that only food and beverage applies to the minimum - cart fees, pro shop merchandise or any other products and services do not apply. Furthermore, the obligation is per-month and not accrued on an annual basis.
Q. Can I Use My Monthly Food & Beverage Minimum at Coleman Restaurant? A. No. The monthly food and beverage minimum applies only to all food and beverage purchased at Blue Bell Country Club.
Q. How do I find out how much more I need to spend to meet my monthly minimum? A. You may contact our accounting office at 215-616-8100 x3102 to find out how much you have spent in food and beverage purchases in any given month.
Q. How does the billing work? A. Members each have a Member Number. It is generally the first letter of the member's last name followed by a 3 or 4 digit number. All purchases at any point of sale are placed on the membership number. The billing cycle runs from the 1st to the last day of each month. For example, the bill you receive for all of your spending from June 1 to June 30 will arrive the first week in July and must be paid in full on or before July 31 in order to not receive any late fees or finance charges.
Q. Can I pay my monthly bill with a credit card? A. No. You may use cash or a credit card for all purchases made at the time of the sale, but you may not pay your monthly bill with a credit card. Bills may be paid by cash or check.
Q. Can I check my bill on-line? A. Members do not currently have the ability to check their bills on-line. The club is investigating technology solutions that will offer this capability. |
