Blue Bell Country Club Members Unite To Battle Coronavirus
At its core, what makes a country club membership special is the connection that members create with one another. When that network of member connections can be harnessed to support the surrounding local community, not only do the internal bonds become stronger, but actual magic happens. We are delighted to be witnessing that now at Blue Bell Country Club.
The Club recently reached out to members for ideas on how we could rally to support the local community and we were overwhelmed with joy at the number of responses and personal contacts that were brought to the table. "It has been a pleasure to read all of your great ideas on how to help our surrounding community,” President Bud Hansen III stated. "I have always known that Blue Bell Country Club was a special place and it is clear that great hearts are what connect us.” While we share immense support for those inflicted with the virus itself, the concern for low income families hit hardest by its effects was overwhelmingly shared by our membership community. As a result, we are coming together to support four local community pantries. To maximize our contribution to each one, membership will follow a four week calendar that ensures all attention is provided to one pantry per week. The Club will also be significantly adding to the generous contributions of the members.
Beginning next Friday, we will begin to collect donations. A GoFundMe page was created so that those uncomfortable with leaving their home can still contribute and the Club will purchase items in their contribution. There is no contribution too large or too small.
